On 12 May 1940, Bristol Blenheim P6912 crashed in Kattevennen (Genk). All three crew members were killed. For the Feitelijke Vereniging Vliegveld Asch, Toster built a virtual museum around the aircraft and its crew.
The VR version on Meta Quest was shown in the hangar at Zwartberg airfield during the Fly-In of 6 and 7 July 2024. Between 10 and 13 May 1940, the RAF sent 40 Blenheims on 19 missions over Belgium and the Netherlands to destroy the bridges over the Albert Canal and the Meuse. In VR you start those missions one by one with the red button on the map table and watch the aircraft take off. A flipchart explains the aircraft and crew, and a projector shows film footage from a bomber station in 1940.
